Domunique

After I got my things from Jay’s house, I hit the highway heading back to the Tone. I was in deep thought as I let the fresh air hit my face. I thought about everything that had happened, especially the things that Money told me last night. All I could hear was the echo of Money’s voice telling me that Junior is Jay’s child. I hated to just walk out on Jay, but he done so much. I really didn’t know what I was going to do, but what I did know was that I definitely needed some space away from Jay. Now Money was another thing. I love this man, and last night felt so right. In my heart, I knew this is where I wanted to be and should have stayed. I decided to take my things to my grandma’s house. I would stay there until I got my shit together then get my own place.

Once I was done, I headed over to Money’s condo so I could give him his truck. He wasn’t home, so I let myself in. Money’s condo was still decorated the same. After all this time, he still had pictures of me all over. As I made my way to the bedroom, my phone started to ring. It was Money making sure I was good. He told me about what popped off between him and the bitch, Monisha. I was willing to give me and Money another try, but I was hoping I wouldn’t regret it because of that crazy bitch.

I woke up the next morning feeling content with life. Money was already gone for the day. There was a note in his spot that said he didn’t want to wake me because I was sleeping so peacefully. I cracked a smile, thinking about how thoughtful he was. I had a clear schedule and needed something to do. I looked down at my thighs in disgust. I was in a depression when Jay had me in the house for a month. I picked up some weight because all I ever did was eat and sleep. I decided to call Tanya to see what she was doing and if she wanted to go to Planet Fitness for a long, overdue workout. She said since she wasn’t doing nothing, she would take me up on my invite. She joked about how she needed to lose some weight too.

She asked me where I was. I told her I was back in the Tone over at Money’s house. It was strange at first because she got quiet for a second. I had to make sure she was still on the phone, so I called out her name. She laughed and told me she was being nosey at something that was going on outside. She didn’t sound too believable or maybe I was reading too much into it. Either way I let it go for the time being. We agreed to meet in front of Planet Fitness at about three.
